This position would suit an experienced FD looking for an opportunity to contribute to the delivery of positive social and environmental impact. We are seeking someone to become an integral part of the executive team and help shape the next phase of BEC’s evolution.

The Role:

We’re looking for bright sparks who are creative, concise and brand-savvy to join our marketing department.

You’ll take ownership of and create engaging, informative and dynamic communications journeys, supporting the customer life-cycle as a whole, but focusing on Acquisition and onboarding.

You’ll work in our Marketing team at Pure Planet, planning, creating and refining digital journeys in Salesforce Marketing Cloud. You’ll be as comfortable interpreting and utilising data as you are working with our content and brand teams on creative.

The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker who’s also able to focus on detail. You’ll be an excellent communicator and collaborator, working closely with our UX, brand, commercial, data science and product teams. You’ll understand tone and form and the importance of brand identity, and keep up to date with all the trends in communications, and new releases and features of Marketing Cloud.

Main responsibilities will include:

●      building and maintaining customer journeys in Salesforce Marketing Cloud journey builder;

●      creating and growing various audiences to support our acquisition targets;

●      collaborating closely with various teams around the business and gathering requirements to ensure our journeys achieve our business goals and adhere to our brand guidelines;

●      using data and experimentation to continuously improve the engagement and efficacy of the journeys and individual communications;

●      creating and reporting on various KPIs;

●      having good knowledge of GDPR best practices;

●      designing and creating content and audiences in Marketing Cloud for email, SMS, app notification and other digital channels on your own or collaboratively with others;

●      ensuring our systems and software are fit for purpose, cost-effective and follow best practices; and

●      maintaining comprehensive knowledge of Pure Planet’s tone of voice, product and purpose. Be passionate about our mission!

As part of our marketing team, you’ll report to our Head of Brand and UX, who’s responsible for telling our story and delivering a flawless digital experience.

The Person

You’ll be joining our planet at an exciting stage — many developments are planned and the role may evolve into diverse areas and functions. You’ll be able to adapt to change and love doing things differently. A passion for sustainability and the environment is essential.

If you have:

●      at least 2+ years experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and knowledge of core Studios and Builders: Email Studio; Mobile Studio; Automation Studio and Journey Builder, and preferably but not essentially Advertising Studio;

●      a proven track record of using data and experimentation results to improve and refine journeys with concrete results;

●      the ability to spot gaps, suggest improvements and maintain an organised and accessible library of assets and components;

●      experience with basic HTML and AMP script;

●      experience with SQL databases is desirable;

●      a Marketing Cloud Specialist certificate is desirable; and

●      enthusiasm about Marketing Cloud and the opportunities it presents – we want you to suggest and implement changes to ensure we’re getting the best out of it

We’re looking for a seasoned sales person, a loyalty and value-creation specialist, who can create and deliver mutual lifetime value for Pure Planet and our Members.

 

Main responsibilities are:

 

Managing retention

-        Actively engaging with and nurturing our Members to achieve mutual lifetime value

-        Using data and insights to measure and predict Member’s lifecycle activities,  understand tenure, and in turn manage and increase lifespans

-        Providing relevant reasons to stay throughout Members’ lifecycles

-        Develop products, tools, and processes to retain Members including but not limited to CRM, tariffs, channel promotions, email and app notifications

-        Work with Sales, Marketing, Data, Technology and Service to keep Members happy

-        Measure, innovate, iterate and constantly improve retention performance

 

Delivering loyalty

-        Enabling Members to actively engage, endorse, and advocate for Pure Planet - including through our Refer Friends programme and Community

-        Promoting in-life services and additional products that engage and increase Member lifetime value

-        Working with UX, CRM, Data, and Service to promote value throughout the customer lifecycle

 

Experience:

-        5-10 years of customer value experience in a digital, data-lead, consumer business

-        Proven delivery, with case study examples, of value creation

-        Good working knowledge of CRM tools, particularly Salesforce Marketing and Service Clouds

-        Energy retail experience is not essential

-        Must be comfortable working alone, be self-starting, creative, and have good attention to detail

-        Must also be able to work as part of a dynamic, expanding sales and marketing team and contribute to wider commercial and brand discussions

The C.H.E.E.S.E. Project CIC (Cold Homes Energy Efficiency Survey Experts)

       Contract type: Full time 40hr a week (flexible working considered). Please note it may require working on some evenings or part of weekends.

·       Duration of contract: 1st April – 30th June 2021 with likely extension to 31st December 2023 - approx. 3 years depending on achieving project milestones.

·       Location: Bristol. At first working from home, in an office 'Hub', and sometimes at the registered office.

Project CIC (Cold Homes Energy Efficiency Survey Experts) in Bristol and Bath, winning four awards, including the building industry's most prestigious award: The Big Innovation Pitch at Futurebuild last March. We have developed a unique low-cost thermal imaging system for the interiors of homes that allows targeted 'first retrofit' to reduce energy loss by around a third - using DIY methods and a few hundred pounds. We have just been awarded a substantial grant to allow us to develop our Energy Tracing® business and replicate it by franchising UK wide, by starting a new company.

This key position offers the successful applicant the opportunity to make a major contribution to tackling the climate emergency, while also assisting those in fuel poverty. The post involves a degree of management, under supervision, and requires experience/expertise in business development, client management, HR and finance: including budgets, payroll, VAT, NIC and pension contributions.
