The role

An exciting opportunity for the right individual to shape and develop the products and services Pure Planet offers its Members. Three years after our launch, we are now looking for a bright spark to take responsibility for researching and developing our existing and future sustainable home energy products and services. This combines thought-leadership with a hands-on approach. You will be consumer-led and have a passion and curiosity for technology, with a clear vision for how it can help to deliver benefit, in a simple user-friendly way. You will be able to influence our wider, longer term strategy and ensure our agenda is leading the market in sustainability.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying potential new products and services

  • Researching and developing these into a potential business case to be considered.

  • Collaborating and negotiating with Industry partners to create and develop a relevant industry framework to support any new products and services.

  • Designing and implementing project plans to bring these to market if commercially viable

  • Being responsible for the successful launch and initial P&L of these products and services

  • Maintaining comprehensive knowledge of Pure Planet’s brand, product and purpose.

  • Being passionate about our mission!

You’ll be working with the senior management team, a number of external partners, and reporting to our CEO.

We are looking for a thought leader who sees this role as an opportunity to challenge the status quo. 

 We’ll be looking for the following from you:

  • at least 5 years experience with a proven track record working in a similar role within the energy industry   

  • Able to demonstrate the ability to develop commercially beneficial business cases

  • A strong technical understanding including, of the UK energy market and what is needed to deliver successful, compelling and innovative consumer propositions

  • A good broad knowledge of sustainably related products and services (e.g Electric Vehicle charging, battery storage, solar panels generation)

  • Able to demonstrate the ability to manage multiple activities

  • An industry networker and collaborator with the ability to identify and work with partners to create successful propositions and ecosystems. 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and a proven ability to operate a senior level within and fast-moving consumer business and across external industry partners.
