Climate Action Programme Launch

Urgent, transformative change is needed to tackle the climate crisis.

For this to happen, and for Bristol to achieve its goal of becoming net zero carbon by 2030, organisations and businesses have a key role to play. Bristol Green Capital Partnership is delighted to be launching the Climate Action Programme, supported by NatWest and Bristol City Council, which will offer a series of events, resources and peer-to-peer learning opportunities to help organisations reduce their carbon emissions, whatever their starting point.

The Partnership invites you to find out more at the launch event, taking place online on Wednesday 7 April at 9.30am. All organisations, no matter the size or sector, are encouraged to attend, and there are some brilliant speakers lined up. Attendees will be joined by Alison Rose, CEO of NatWest, as the headline speaker, who will talk about NatWest’s ambition to be a leading bank in tackling the climate crisis and the steps they are taking. The event will also have Dr Alix Dietzel, Lecturer in Global Ethics at the University of Bristol, and Jessica Ferrow, co-founder of Twelve and Partnership elected director, giving an overview of the global, national, and local context for climate action by organisations.

The Partnership will be launching its Carbon Footprinting guide for SMEs at the event and offering a free trial of Spherics, a web platform to help SMEs measure, mitigate and manage their environmental impact, being built in Bristol. There will also be the chance for optional networking at 11am.
