Events Officer at the Soil Association

Location: Bristol

Salary: £24,300

Deadline: 13/10/2021

About the organisation

The Soil Association, formed in 1946, is the only UK charity that works across the spectrum of human health, the environment and animal welfare. That’s because we cannot tackle these issues in isolation.

They campaign for change, support farming innovation, serve healthy food in communities, champion and grow the organic market, and protect forests. They couldn't do any of this without our supporters, partners, donors and dedicated staff. They make a difference in the world where it’s needed the most.

About the opportunity

An exciting opportunity to be part of Their dynamic and growing Business Development team within Soil Association Certification, helping to deliver a varied and high-quality programme of trade focussed events – both physical, digital and hybrid – to engage, inform and grow their organic licensee base. They’re looking for an experienced, efficient, and enthusiastic Events Officer to join a team responsible for running a diverse programme of multimedia events, ranging from organic learning days on a local farm, business acquisition and insight webinars, to national exhibitions, trade shows and flagship conferences. This is a chance to work within an organisation of incredibly talented, passionate people, working across a wide range of organic and sustainable certification schemes, to transform the way we eat, farm and care for the natural world.

About you

•Has a flair for organising professional, high-quality, and engaging events, always mindful of sustainability, and with experience of both physical and digital event delivery.

•Is highly organised with an exceptional eye for detail and proven experience of project coordination.

•Is proactive, great with people, calm under pressure and comfortable working to multiple deadlines.
