What did the candidates have to say about car free cities?

The results of the local elections in May 2021 have now been announced. Climate action charity Possible put together a series of blogposts that assessed where candidates for different positions stood on transitioning away from car storage, ownership and use in four cities: Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds and London.

Possible's Car Free Cities Campaigners will, over the next few years, engage with elected candidates in an ongoing conversation about how they are doing at meeting their manifesto policies and continue to campaign for specific changes in partnership with other transport, climate and civic society groups.
