Purpose-driven marketing agency, Enviral, has created a multi-channel campaign for leading renewable energy provider, Good Energy, to highlight the devastating effects of climate breakdown.
Based in Bristol, Enviral has teamed up with Good Energy to create a TV and radio advert, to showcase how climate change is already here and already affecting our planet. Filmed just outside Bristol, the advert was created in the midst of the global pandemic and required strict COVID-19 protocols to ensure a safe set for everyone involved.
Not only this but as a sustainability-focused agency, Enviral ensured the whole process was carried out in the most sustainable way. This included using local suppliers and props where possible, offsetting travel, vegan catering and a single-use plastic-free set. With its environmental shooting guide, Enviral ensured everyone adhered to these policies and played their part in making sure the shoot had the lowest impact on the planet as possible.
With rotations on national TV and radio stations, it’s hoped the campaign will raise awareness of the impacts of the climate emergency and with global renewable electricity installation set to hit a record level in 2020, it will help showcase how renewables can safeguard our home.
Adam O'Brien, Head of Marketing at Good Energy commented: “As a company that was set up to help tackle climate change, we wanted our first ever TV advert to focus on climate action. The advert faces up to the real threat the climate crisis poses to our future, as well as the power we all have to help create a greener world. We’re proud of this campaign and we only hope it inspires people to see just how vital the role of renewables are in protecting our planet.”
Joss Ford, Founder of Enviral comments: “These types of campaigns are why I started this agency, and working with another local purpose-driven company meant we can deliver a campaign that our area can be truly proud of. We’re committed to doing things differently at Enviral and that means ensuring all our shoots are carried out in the most sustainable way possible. Running a sustainable shoot can be tricky, but running this in the middle of the pandemic was even harder. For many people, the pandemic has made us appreciate nature more than ever and with global emissions on the rise, it’s vital we all come together to help fight climate breakdown. It’s been great to be able to bring Good Energy’s important genuine renewable energy message into homes around the country, especially with such confusion in the energy market with brands hyperinflating their sustainability credentials. It’s awesome to help raise awareness around the role of renewables in safeguarding our planet with such a great client.”
Featuring scenes of forest fires and flooded homes, along with an optimistic scene of a renewable energy powered home, the TV advert uses the setting of a school science fair to show the future that younger generations are facing.
