Highlighting issues around consumption and the impact it has on our planet, purpose-driven marketing agency, Enviral, created an Out of Home campaign for Good Energy.
Bristol based agency, Enviral, worked with Good Energy in the run-up to Christmas putting together a series of anti-consumerism billboards that were displayed around the city.
Featuring bold ‘don’t waste our energy’ messaging, these billboards urged people to not waste our planet's energy and consume consciously in the run-up to Black Friday and Christmas. Launched by 100% renewable energy provider, Good Energy, the billboard campaign was supported by an accompanying new animated film which features probably the most recognizable voiceover on the planet after David Attenborough.
The animation, created by Enviral explores the issues of overconsumption and the impact this is having on our planet. A first for an energy company, Good Energy called on people to use less, waste less and take less, with a particular focus on energy consumption.
It’s hoped the campaign would get people thinking about conscious consumerism in the run-up to two of the biggest days in the shopping calendar. Juliet Davenport, CEO and Founder, Good Energy, said: “Black Friday is now an annual ritual to buy more, spend more, consume more. But this behaviour is threatening the planet and we need to step back from the brink.
We know the cleanest unit of power is one that isn’t used at all, and so this year we’re asking people to harness the power of less. Less energy, less waste, less pollution.” Joss Ford, Founder of Enviral comments: “As a purpose-driven marketing agency, we’re always stuck between a catch-22 of helping brands raise awareness while sticking true to our purpose-driven roots.
That’s why we pride ourselves on only working with brands who are doing good for people and the planet, just like Good Energy. This campaign carries such an important message and lands at such a vital time. With two of the biggest days in the sales calendar, it’s hoped this messaging will get people thinking about their own consumption by using less, taking less and wasting less.
It’s so amazing to see brands like Good Energy standing up for people and the planet.” Find out more about the Power of Less campaign here.
