FEN member Karshare, the community car sharing platform based in Bristol, has hit its £1million fundraising target through its equity crowdfunding campaign on Seedrs and is now overfunding with close to 500 different investors on board and over £1,300,000 invested.
Aside from the financial benefits for car owners who are renting out their vehicles, car sharing will play a key role in the Government’s plan for the UK to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2050. As part of this aim, there needs to be 50% less cars on UK roads.
With an estimated 38 million vehicles parked on our streets, Karshare will unlock this huge potential fleet of vehicles through community car sharing.
The funds raised will be used to expand Karshare into new UK cities, invest in the Karshare platform and technology and further grow the team.
