We may have exited the Eurozone for real this month, but there is still the odd bit of EU funding knocking around, supporting SMEs to make low carbon improvements across the FEN area.
The Target 2030 programme, run by Severn Wye Energy Agency, is open to SMEs across Gloucestershire, Swindon and Wiltshire, and provides a free energy survey, report, carbon-saving recommendations and grant funding – covering 30% of the cost of installing energy efficiency improvements, renewable energy generation or leaner, cleaner specialist equipment.
The Gloucestershire programme has all but run out of grant money, only 9 months into the 3-year programme. The first surveys for the Swindon/Wiltshire programme started this month, and if demand for the grant funding is anything like its Gloucestershire counterpart, Severn Wye are expecting the £330k of grant funding not to last long. If your business, SME clients or community organisation would value a free energy survey, report and recommendations to begin making a serious dent in carbon emissions, you are encouraged to get in touch with the programme today, before its too late.
The Gloucestershire programme are running a reserve list for grant funded improvements, and the Swindon/Wiltshire grants are first-come, first-served. It's always good news when carbon-saving business programmes are in high demand, but with no further European funding on the horizon, it's a seize-the-day opportunity like no other!
