This is it! The biggest event in our events calendar!

So, this is it! The biggest event in our events calendar….only one week to go until our Festival of Sustainable Business on 17th September. I am so excited and hugely proud of the Future Economy Network team for pulling out all the stops over the last few months to create such an amazing line up of activities for the Festival.

Regular readers will already know a bit about what the Festival will entail; a FREE exhibition, 9 sustainability-themed seminars, a sustainable transport zone and sustainable food zone and then all this activity culminating in a gala dinner but here are some things you might not be aware of:

  • Readers of this newsletter will get a complimentary seminar ticket by entering the code FENGU

  • Everyone who attends a seminar gets a FREE LUNCH at the Sustainable Food Zone!

  • The exhibition is being hosted by Radio DJ, Paris Troy. Hear him speak about his Lightning Talk Stage here or check him out on the Millennium Square big screen every day until the Festival!

  • There is a prize draw for a sustainable hamper (RRP £60) for everyone who signs up for the FREE exhibition!

  • We will be showcasing electric cars, a hydrogen car, a bamboo bike and electric mopeds in the Sustainable Transport zone!

  • Rt Hon Sir Edward Davey MP, read the press release here, Natalie Fee and Mayor Marvin Rees will be our gala dinner keynote speakers!

  • And all of this activity will be carbon offset with proceeds going to our chosen charity, The Converging World!

So, I really hope to see you there. This is the biggest event of its kind in the south-west and one not to be missed!

Other than the Festival, the team have been busy planning for the Global Climate Strike on the 20th September – see my article in Business Leader for details.

Oh an in between all that, we also won an award for the ‘Best Events and Networking Communications Company 2019’! Phew!!! I think that is enough for one month.

See you at the Festival!

PS As some of you know, I am on the One City Plan’s Environmental Sustainability Board. Our next meeting is 1st October, do get in touch before then if you would like to discuss anything related to this.

Thanks for your continued support
