FEG July Update!

Another busy month for the team at The Future Economy Network. I am sure this comes as no surprise but The Future Economy Group will today join others in declaring a climate emergency, if your business has not yet done so, please join us! Sustainability is at the core of all that we do as can be seen from this month’s round up of activities:

  • We hosted various events for organisations wanting to learn more about carbon neutrality, including events on carbon offsetting (Bristol) and sustainable development in heritage cities (Bath)

  • We promoted active travel and wellbeing with our free monthly Netwalking event which included a tour of our carbon neutral sustainability hub.

  • We launched the Network in North Somerset in the wonderful Winter Gardens Pavilion at Weston College in Weston-super-Mare to an incredibly enthusiastic audience

  • We were interviewed by Bristol City Council for a series of short documentaries about electric vehicles to be shown on local channel Bristol TV in July

  • We attended Metrobus’ official launch of the gas refueling station at Bristol Community Transport

  • Our Network Director and Head of Sustainability, Katherine Piper attended her first One City Environmental Sustainability Board meeting

  • Our Festival of Sustainable Business seminar series was launched. Book now to avoid disappointment!

  • Last but by no means least, things are progressing well with the Festival of Sustainable Business with the Festival team having the enviable task of tasting the Gala Dinner menu yesterday at The Bristol Hotel.

Gala Dinner tastings

And all of this on top of our normal day to day activities; welcoming new subscribers, facilitating useful collaborations and networking opportunities and planning future events! A huge thank you to the team and to subscribers and partners alike for your support in ensuring this is another great month for all things sustainable!
