This month sees many welcomes within the Network! First, we welcome Simon Forsyth to the Future Economy Group. Simon - a longstanding supporter of the Future Economy Network’s activities – has joined us to offer his sustainability consultancy expertise.
If your business would like some help in measuring your carbon footprint, deciding where to focus your sustainability efforts or ascertaining what sustainability-related products will best suit you, Simon will be happy to assist.
Get in touch to have a chat, hear Simon’s thoughts on Scope 3 emissions at our Science Based Targets business breakfast on 20th August or discuss our carbon neutrality plans with Simon at The Future Economy Group’s Carbon Neutrality Journey event on 29th October.
We also have some welcomes from the Festival Team! The team would like to welcome new sponsors Alliance Comms, Vattenfall and Bristol City Council who will be sponsoring the delegate bag, the drinks reception and Air Quality seminar and the Sustainable Finance seminar respectively. Huge thanks for their support. With over 60% of exhibition spaces and a similar number of gala dinner tickets having now been sold, it is shaping up to be a great day celebrating all things sustainability-related! If you haven’t yet booked your space, do so now to avoid disappointment! See our latest press release here!
The Events Team also welcomed Nikki Jones as part of their summer series on carbon neutrality. Nikki has now delivered four of the 6 talks in the series and these have been extremely well received by all who attended. Some spaces are still available at her Global Climate Change Adaptation and Bristol’s 2030 Carbon Neutrality talks so book now to attend. Our weekly events programme also saw excellent presentations on International Trade and Sustainable IT and as always, we all thoroughly enjoyed our Netwalking expedition into Bristol’s green spaces.
More welcomes to follow with the imminent opening of our carbon neutral sustainability hub. We look forward to telling you more next month!
