Going Green, Being Seen: How Sustainability Will Help Your Business

In collaboration with Weston College as part of their Build Back Better series (as part of the Workforce for the Future Project, with West of England Combined Authority)

This is a free, online-only workshop

This online interactive workshop will explore how we can embrace sustainability in our businesses. A recent study found that 62% of executives consider sustainability a necessary strategy to compete, providing employers with an opportunity to grow.

With that in mind, we are delighted to collaborate with Weston College for this interactive session, where we will share our experiences around sustainability in business and how we can design a process to engage in sustainability.

We will also look into the climate emergency, and the tools available to help us take action within our businesses.

We will be joined by expert speakers and workshop facilitators from Future Leap, Interface and With Many Roots.

There are many positives to operating sustainably, and this could be your first steps to a greener future.

If you'd like free access to any of the workshops in the Build Back Better series, you can do so through Workforce for the Future.

Sophia Cheng, Founder of With Many Roots, Climate Collage UK Co-ordinator

How do we get the climate (and ecological) crisis into our heads? There’s no getting around the fact that climate science is hard. And once it's in our heads, how do we get it into our bones? In Sophia's interactive workshop we'll get some ideas on how we can do just that.

Andy Hawkins, B Corp Consultant at Future Leap

Businesses with a strong purpose tend to outperform the market, recruit and retain better talent, identify and mitigate risk and attract higher quality investors.

The recently launched Better Business Act will encourage every company to publish an annual Social & Environmental Impact Report.

If you are interested to learn more about what to measure and how to provide the appropriate evidence, this workshop is a great step on your journey as we investigate your Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) performance as well as examining if the B Corp framework could be a valuable tool.

With Future Leap’s ESG seminars proving extremely popular and the workshops selling out, we have seen a real need in businesses wanting to understand the potential benefits of certification and get the process started. Therefore, we are running another bespoke workshop with Andy Hawkins, B Corp Consultant at Future Leap and Chief Purpose Officer at Business on Purpose, for a small group to explore their Purposeful approach and ESG journey.
